Electro Magnetic Fields and the Human Bio-System

Monday, March 24th, 2008

Are we/a> hurting/a> our/a> Human Bio-Systems with too many electronic gadgets around us? Cell phones, microwave ovens, radios, satellite TV, computers, WiFi, WiMax, radar detectors, automatic door openers, iPods, burglar alarms and/a> electrical appliances are everywhere and/a> all around us. And that/a> is not all as we have Airports with radar, high-tension/a> power lines and/a> microwave repeaters.

All this technology is scrambling our natural evolution some may actually increase our cognitive abilities by hyper charging our brains, while the/a> rest is really not very good for us at all. How bad is the problem? Well/a> we seem to all still be here right? Although some types of cancer/a> are on the rise and thus this frequency/a> pollution is affecting our electro-magnetic fields and our human bio-systems.

Does this mean those of use who are into/a> high-tech gadgets are hurting the world? Does this mean we should not promote more technology such as robotics, net-centric cars and better communication devices with future human interface capabilities? Well probably we should pay attention to what we are doing however we must also look at the benefits as well.

Personally I see benefits in/a> having assistance from robotics, so people/a> do not have to work/a> in/a> factories and can enjoy their time thinking and enjoying life. Most of us have been able to overcome distractions of technology such as cell phones or high tension power lines, although they do affect us a little whether we choose to address/a> the issue or not. Additionally I concur with Plato’s ideas that indeed people should do what they are best at, and be alleviated/a> from that which they are not and when they are, “We” are all the better for it. So if we can use these tools to make human life/a> easier we may find that the benefits and removal of stress in our life will be better for us in the long run than/a> any detriment from the frequency pollution we create.

One most also consider that in the future we can use those energy fields too, as it is energy, so use it and convert it. I also believe we can cancel out negative frequency for instance:

http://www.worldthinktank.net/art109.shtml

Also as human civilizations address these higher/a> frequency ranges we should note that we can co-exist with technology using/a> the higher frequency ranges without hurting our Bio-systems VLFs, ELFs and ULFs. For instance although they do affect human behavior/a> somewhat we all experience solar flares, cosmic radiation, Earth Frequencies and we seem to be doing okay so far. The human bio-system can work without worry and it can actually take a whole/a> lot of energy. Some believe it adversely affects human life in our world and has made everyone stupid and as an example they point to the French Riots? But the French are always up to something, so indeed, that is not proof positive either and so the debate goes on. Think on this.

Making Your Home A Resort

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

In today???s world of home channel popularity and/a> all things fashionable, making your home magazine perfect and/a> envied by all isn???t such a hard or expensive thing to/a> do. /a> Even the/a> smallest changes and/a> additions can/a> make a huge difference for less than a weekend getaway. After all, your home is/a> lived in/a> before and/a> after the getaway.

Start with space. You???ll need to open up the cluttered space in your home to make it instantly appear larger and cleaner. Take a look at the corners of your rooms/a> and you should be able to find something to store away or move into a more appropriate room. Books add/a> brains to a home but/a> too/a> many can cause it to feel like a library or book store not a homey retreat.

Decide which decorative items/a> you really have outgrown and get rid of them! Too/a> many eye distracting knickknacks cause the brain/a> to feel jumbled and that certainly doesn???t help with stress or relaxation.

Tops of entertainment centers and stands shouldn???t be bare/a> but they also should show! Often times homeowners pack on the pictures and collectibles too heavy leading to lots of beautiful items with no way to focus in on any. Less is more. Pick the items you want/a> to keep or the ones that make the best statement or compliment the room???s decor. Make a select few/a> focal points and let them stand alone.

It truly is amazing what a fresh coat of paint can accomplish. Nothing beats this upgrade for the price. It really all comes down to the color selection. If your walls are a contemporary white, spruce it up! Make one wall a focal wall and paint it a bold color. This will energize the room and everything placed on that wall will pop. If your walls are a tad too neutral and drab, try a modern earthy tone such as sage green, mocha, or a pale deep yellow. Depending on your furniture color, flooring, and drapery, select a color that will compliment and yet not blend in too much. Note* using a semi-gloss finish may be great for washing or children, but flats are really the best finished look for a room.

Bathrooms and bedrooms are always a sanctuary or at least they should be. You???d be amazed what a few simple projects can do to your rooms. For the bedroom, try painting the trim on the windows and doorways a deep chocolate, switching out the metal or plastic mini-blinds for a dark wood bamboo blind. A new bed-in-a bag can cost you as little as $89 and still look modern and fresh. Martha Stewart???s bed-in-bags are surprisingly classy/a> and comfortable. Add a small lamp behind a cornered bed or behind a larger item on the dresser, (Television) the lighting in the room will be soft and inviting.

Bathrooms should make you feel welcome and leave/a> you with a calming feeling. Try sprucing up your small space with new color and texture. Replace hardware in the bathroom, (towel racks, faucets, hooks and doorknobs) with a brushed nickel or stainless steel instead of the out of date gold plated or brass. Purchase a new bathroom set that is plush and feels good to the hand. Your feet will thank you and so will your eyes. A new modern shower curtain will look great against your new chrome fixtures and will make them pop. Clear away all personal items including combs, brushes, lotions and cups on the sink, and keep it minimal. Hang fresh new hand towels. You???ll feel like you???re in a resort when you enter your new bathroom.

Your kitchen should be a fun place to be. It may be the busiest room in the house and most used, but it should look like it. It???s easy to pile up papers and photos on the fridge, and snacks and appliances on the counters. Make a new home for these items tucked away out of site. The less you have in the kitchen, the less you???ll have distracting you physically and mentally. Lighting is important in every room of the home and most neglect the kitchen. You can purchase a $10 miniature lamp at a local drugstore and add it to the end of a counter or corner baker???s rack to illuminate the room and add a cozy soft glow at night. It will make you feel at home in your home.

If you have an outdoor space such as a porch or deck, treat it as an indoor space./a> Add plants, lighting, perhaps a small water fountain for a tranquil setting. Don???t neglect the texture and appeal of these spaces. Enjoy plush rugs, seating and color as you do indoors.

Even making small changes to each room such as removing boxes of extra clutter or belongings can make a huge impact on your mental outlook and internal mood. You???d me amazed at how desterilizing a sterile space can make you want to stay in that space. Adding even a splash/a> of color or a new item to a room can change the whole effect. I know there???s something in your home that shouldn???t be there. Take one room at a time and turn your abode into a lifetime getaway.

How To Build A Team In Business And In Sports

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

I am in/a> my/a> office staring at a game ball with my name stamped on it, yet it???s not from/a> any game that I/a> played. It also has inscribed on it the/a> signatures of some incredible people and they are not multi-million dollar NFL stars. Yet as I gaze at this ball, it brings tears to my eyes. It is a very special gift.

In my travels throughout the/a> world, I have been honored to speak to incredible groups of people. Brilliant aspiring entrepreneurs. Tenacious corporate leaders with vision. Front line warriors waving the/a> flag of inspiring missions. But in/a> all/a> my years I have to tell you/a> that the most moving experience I had was/a> on a cool autumn day/a> in/a> a crowded, sweaty team meeting room of the West Jordan High School football team. The/a> ball is from/a> them.

This group of young men under the leadership of their coach/a> had all read my ???ABC???s of Building a Business Team that Wins??? book through their summer weight training. They then decided to create a Code of Honor for their team as prescribed in the book.

The results were amazing. They started off the season by upsetting one of the top-seated teams in the state and ultimately went on to make it to the state semi-finals for the first time in the history of the school.

Fortunately my travels brought me to their city in the middle of their season. Upon arrival, a friend told me about this team and their encounter with my book and asked if would take the time to speak to them. Of course!!!!

That afternoon moved me deeply. I asked the players what the biggest lesson was that they had learned from the Code and the team. The answer was so simple that you could have heard a pin drop when/a> it was said/a> that afternoon. They said that their biggest lesson was simply ???being there for each other???always knowing that your team-mate was at your side.???

Amidst all the distractions, all the hormones and all of the craziness of teenager-hood these boys were becoming men. The intensity of their eyes, the openness of their hearts and the way they listened to everything I said, told me that these young men were more than high school football players. They were among the future leaders of our communities, our country and our world. They would have families, sons and daughters themselves someday and will have impact beyond their touch.

I don???t even quite remember what I said to them that day because I was so impacted by what they said to me and the questions they asked. But in a letter I sent to them before their next game, I sent them this message. This message is for you as well particularly as we approach/a> this Holiday Season.

???In a person’s life they have windows of opportunity to make a real difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. The difference that is made is not the stuff of headlines,/a> news clippings or fanfares. It is about being there for someone else. It is about making a statement through your actions that speak louder than words.

It is about demonstrating fearlessness and courage and owning whatever comes your way with the congruence that you acted with all of your heart and all of your might. It???s about truly being yourself without worrying about what others think and inspiring someone else to be/a> the best that they can be./a> It???s about trusting someone else unconditionally and having them trust you the same way. You all have been a model to thousands of folks, old and young, that you will never meet face to face. You have made a statement about your generation and have set/a> a standard of honor and ???team??? that few have experienced. Never doubt the power of your intention, your heart and the team.

Dog Kennels - What to Look For

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

We all hate to leave our pets behind if we/a> go on/a> vacation or have to leave home for a few days. However, we can’t always take/a> them with us so/a> if you don’t have family or friends that are able/a> to take care of them you most likely need a dog kennel.

To find a good kennel ask for recommendations from/a> friends, family, your/a> veterinarian or grooming shops.

You should then visit the kennel and look for these things.

License

Staff -/a> are they friendly, knowledgeable, seem to care about the dogs there?

Sanitation -/a> Are the runs clean? Do they look like/a> they have an effective system? Do they have barriers high enough to prevent male dogs from urinating into adjacent runs?

Facility -/a> Is it in/a> good repair, neat, clean, smell clean and clear of debris?

Exercise area - Do dogs have freedom of movement? It the floor/a> concrete so it can be/a> easily disinfected? How much time do they get outdoors?

Climate - Is there proper temperature control and is ventilation good with no/a> draughts?

Sleeping area - Is there clean, dry and large enough for a dog to stand, stretch out or turn around? Do they have solid dividers between kennels? Is the bedding clean?

Cages and gates - Are they secure and in good repair?

How many dogs in facility - Are there to many?

Food - You may want/a> to bring food/a> that your dog is already eating/a> if they don’t have it. You don’t want him to get sick from a change in diet.

Water - Is it available at all times, does the water look clean in the bowls and are the bowls clean?

Veterinarian - Do they have a vet on call? Will they contact your vet if needed?

Find out the cost, drop off time and pick up. How far in advance/a> should you book?

When you do take your dog for his stay take along:

Vaccinations records

Emergency contacts - veterinarian and your numbers.

Pet schedule - also pet medications with instructions.

Take something from home like a blanket or toy.

Food if needed

Usually if a dog is introduced early in life to kennels be doesn’t have a problem. Of course all dogs are different and it’s hard to predict how they will react. You should start with a weekend to see how he does. Ask the staff how his behavior and appetite were so you can judge how it went. Of course check his general condition/a> and grooming to see how well he was taken care of.

If they do have trouble maybe next time you should look into a bonded pet-sitting service. Maybe you know someone who/a> does pet sitting/a> in your home. Check out your options.

Lastly, ask your veterinarian if your dog needs kennel cough intra-nasal vaccination.

Personal Core Values: Your Key to Success and Happiness

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Each of/a> us has/a> our/a> own/a> set of personal values; these are/a> the/a> things which we believe/a> are important, which motivate us and to/a> which we give priority. If I asked you what your personal values/a> are, the chances are that you would struggle to find the answer. You would not be alone; in fact the majority of people would find it hard to answer this/a> question satisfactorily.

The reality is/a> that most of us are not fully/a> aware of our own personal values. This is the same as saying that most people are not aware of what is important to them.

The problem is made worse by the fact that not only ourselves but also/a> other/a> people and other institutions have their/a> own set of core values. People such as friends, partners and employers, each have values that have an effect upon us and our lives.

Consequently, we may find ourselves living our lives according to the values of other people instead of following our own values. For example, in the work place, you may find yourself following the values of your employer;-/a> good timekeeping, increased production, profits, sales targets etc.. Yet how/a> many of these values would you feel fitted with your own core values? Furthermore, if you spend your life meeting only the values of your employer, do you feel that would be a/a> happy life?

Do you feel that meeting only the values of your employer would lead to a successful life? Well, that would be possible if you measured your success/a> in terms of achieving targets set by your employer and gaining more pay or promotion as a consequence. But just look at how many people go through life with the feeling that true success is much/a> more than earning money or promotion. People increasing measure success by other criteria. For most people, success is measured by something more than or other than financial/a> gain. So for/a> most of us, following an employer???s values would not lead to what we feel to be a successful life.

This is not to say that the values of others are not important. They are important and it is important for us to recognise these values especially when they impinge or affect our own lives. However, it is more important for us to recognise our own personal core values.

It is by our own core values that we measure our success and happiness. It is they that tell us what is important in our lives.

As a Life Coach and counsellor, I encounter many people who are unaware of their own core personal values. I am able to undertake a values elicitation exercise with these people to help them discover their core values. The/a> outcome of this exercise is often very revealing for them, it gives them an insight into what they really value and what motivates them. It can often indicate to them where their lives are not in accordance with their values and how they are striving to fulfil someone else???s values. Usually, this is also a source of stress or frustration in their lives.

So I would recommend anyone who is looking to discover their own personal values in life to consider the services of a life coach./a> Your values really are your key to success and happiness.

How/a> To Smooth Out Acne’s Bumpy Road

A natural skin care for treatment for acne/a> will always treat the/a> body first, main stream medicine and/a> over/a> the/a> counter treatments for acne always treat the/a> symptom as/a> the cause, which is wrong.

Acne appears on the skin and it is a/a> natural reaction to/a> want to treat it there. But consider for a moment/a> how did I get acne? Acne did not originate on your skin, so would it not make sense to treat the cause. Acne will occur in/a> most cases with hormone disruption. If you want to get rid of/a> acne the best place to start is from the inside out.

The skin is a mirror image of/a> the internal health of your body.Acne and other skin disorders is an outward sign of stressed systems within the body. There are/a> many/a> conditions which can contribute to acne formation. Herdity and family history of acne is often suspected/a> as a contibutor to acne. The probability of developing acne is higher but that doesn’t mean that acne will develop. Heridty is not a major factor.

Acne can occur during puberty when sex hormones (androgen) in boys and (estrogen) in girls/a> upsets the normal function of the sebacious glands.Too much/a> oil is produced and combined with dead skin cells which become trapped/a> in the foliclles, allow/a> bacteria and infection to develop. The result is acne or other skin disorders.

Adult acne can be from many sources as well.

stress (emotional and metabolic)
In women, hormone regulators
drugs
poor diet
sleep disorders
toxic bowel and parasites

The most common cause of hormone disruption other than puberty is toxemia of the bowel. Candida is also a serious contributor to toxemia and hormone disruption.

High emotional stress is very destructive to the entire body, and can upset normal hormone balance of the entire body, including the skin.If you have high stress levels no treatment will be effective in the control of acne, no matter what the cause, so try your best to understand your stress and get it under control.

A Simple 3 Step Natural Skin Treatment For Acne

Acne sufferers will benefit greatly from a complete detox/a> program including eliminating accumlated fecal matter in the bowel. Toxic stress of the bowel is a very common cause of many skin disorders. The cleaner the blood, the cleaner the body, the more skin conditions will improve.

Improving the diet by including lots of raw greens, fruits and vegetables, jucing is best as the body can assimulate and digest liquids much easier and faster than eating raw fruits and vegetables whole. There is a wide variety of books and recipes on jucing with many excellent and delicious recipes.

Reducing or eliminating refined sugar, white flour products, hydrogenated oils and saturated animal fats is a definite plus not only/a> to help clear/a> acne but make major improvements to your health as well.

After a cleanse and improvement to the diet you are giving your body back the ability to heal. For your skin pure organic skin care products that feed nutrients to the skin will help in the healing process of existing damage that much faster.

Getting acne under control without harmful drugs using a simple 3 step natural skin care treatment for acne, get results that are long lasting

Sexuality and Dating - 5 Myths about Hooking Up and Safer Ways to Stay Alive and

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Many people love to hook up and/a> have sex, but hate to pay the/a> price to play. /a> Let???s face it. We have become complacent/a> about safer sex. Are you using condoms, correctly, every time you have sexual activity with a partner? You could be taking your chances and/a> become infected with HIV, Herpes, Chlamydia, or any of the other not-so fun STDs. I/a> don???t mean to rain on/a> your parade./a> I just want you to consider being safer in/a> the bedroom (or wherever you play).

Here are some myths you might be thinking about sexuality and/a> why you are not as safe as you might think.

Myth #1: I don???t need condoms because/a> they just don???t feel as good when I???m having sex. I won???t/a> get sick. After all, I???m healthy, and my luck???s been good so far. Right.

Myth #2: My new partner is/a> HOT! They look good; they must be safe and healthy if they are that hot!

Myth #3: I feel fine. I have no symptoms so I must not be sick or infected with any STDs.

Myth #4: What happens in/a> the bedroom stays in the bedroom. I just won???t think about it and magically I will stay well.

Myth #5: HIV and STDS are no longer a concern since safe sex/a> came along.

Here are some reality checks and tips to counteract the myths.

Reality Check #1: No matter how healthy you are, you can become infected if you have unsafe sex with an infected partner. Intercourse of any kind, fisting/a> and sharing of needles for drugs including steroids are some of the highest risk behaviors.

Tip 1: Use condoms and latex gloves during sexual activities. Lubricating the inside of the condom with a water-based lubricant can help improve the sensation. Flavored condoms or flavored lubricant on dental dams taste better for oral/a> pleasures.

Reality Check #2: Hot or not, anyone could be infected./a> I advise you to assume everyone is infected. Unless you share a clean bill of health over at least/a> a one year/a> period and you are 100% exclusive, there is no way to ensure that either of you is disease free.

Tip 2: Get a thorough checkup at least once or twice per year. This can help you to maintain optimal health.

Reality Check #3: You can be symptom-free and still be infected. It is only if and when your disease(s) have progressed that you become aware of them. The Center for Disease Control estimates that 24-27% or persons infected with HIV are undiagnosed and unaware of their HIV infection.

Tip 3: If you are diagnosed with an STD, seek treatment as soon as possible. Herpes and HIV don???t have a cure yet, but they can be managed in most cases.

Reality Check #4: Wishing/a> and hoping can???t make you well. Only taking care of you will. Using safer sex methods always helps increase your chances.

Tip 4: If you have no condoms, try some less risky behaviors such as massage or mutual masturbation on clean, healthy skin.

Reality Check #5: Here???s a news flash./a> According to the CDC, At the end of 2003, an estimated 1,039,000 to 1,185,000 persons in the United States were living with HIV/AIDS, and about 50,000 new cases each year.

Tip 5: Stay informed. Keep a new and fresh supply of condoms, gloves, dental dams and water-based lube around. Make sure they are not exposed to too much heat, cold, etc. Don???t keep them in your wallet for weeks and months. Buy or bring a fresh one if you are going to hook up tonight. Your/a> health, and your life may depend/a> on it.

It’s also good to eat plain yogurt before a meal/a> because its good bacteria aids your digestion process.

6. Oil of Oregano - This potent herb kills yeast. You take it internally on a daily basis, according to directions. Make sure that the oil contains a lot of Carvacrol, which is the active ingredient.
